A special framework is installed in the middle of a large concrete slab. Spikes stick out of the top so that they can be attached to the base of the crane’s pivot.
This steel anchorage system is supplied in advance so that it can be installed those who are responsible for civil works in the crane’s designated location.
Pivot
The fixed column comprises a circular tube. Its base is joined to and reinforced by a cone that is firmly fixed to the anchoring concrete.
In the middle part there is a rolling track and support for the revolving top with individual hardened steel rings.
The top section finishes with an inverted cone, the bottom of which is fixed to the revolving bearing.
Boom
Separated into three main sections: the front, middle and back.
The front part comprises a main box girder with suspension pulleys at the far end for fixed-reach models.
On models with variable reach, this area is used for the hoist carriage guides.
The middle area is a reinforced centre that contains the turning bearing, and it absorbs and controls the compression and traction strains of the load on the boom.
The back section has a vertical cover and contains the counterweight to offset the unbalancing momentum of a mobile load, if necessary.
